When you are looking for an easy and free way to access Ohio law, the Supreme Court of Ohio provides some great legal resources from Ohio law to court rules to the State Disciplinary Counsel if you wish to file a grievance against a lawyer. If you need another state’s laws and rules, go to that state supreme court’s web page.
When you are looking for links to pretty much anything free on legal ethics, the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, of which I am a charter member, has catalogued the universe of such resources. If you want to look for a plaintiff’s legal malpractice lawyer in any state or for a second opinion, APRL gives you that option, as well.
For non-lawyers, these two resources are beyond enough, so while you should try to educate yourself as to your particular issues, be careful about overloading yourself if you are not trained as a lawyer.
